Tiki Island Volunteer Fire Department is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides emergency services to the Village of Tiki Island and the surrounding unincorporated areas of Galveston county. All services are provided by both part-time paid and volunteer members and primarily focus on fire suppression and ALS-first responder emergency services. Further survies that are provided by TIVFD are hazmat response, PR events, fire prevention, and general community wellness functions.

Pat recently retired from the City of Houston Fire Department at the rank of District Chief and provides 30 plus years of knowledge and experience within the fire service
Robert has served with the Tiki Island Fire Department for 20 plus years and with Jersey Village Volunteer Fire Department prior to that. He provides 30 plus years experience serving as a volunteer firefighter
Sharon took over as treasurer 5 years ago and has been a long time active resident of Tiki Island
Bob was a volunteer with Tiki Island Fire Department for 10 years before becoming a board member and continues to actively serve the fire department in multiple aspects
Chuck Tylka is relatively new to the Island and the fire department but has extensive experience in the combination fire department service. He currently is a member on our board and the Fire Chief of Southeast Houston Volunteer Fire Department.
The newest member of the Fire Board, Richard has quickly become involved through serving as a board member, a volunteer firefighter, and is heavily involved in fund raiser and community events held by the fire departmen
The majority of funding for the fire department is funded by a mandatory fee established by the warter board to provide emergency services to the community of Tiki Island
The Village of Tiki Island provides addional funding to the Fire Department, who conducts all Fire Prevention Services to the Village. These services include inspections, investigations, and public education
